I have been neglecting this blog and I know it. I am going to try harder to post more often (I say that a lot, but we’ll see how it goes.)
I have some kitty pictures I need to share. Last week I had the fun of watching Stephanie’s cats while she was on vacation. I have looked in on her cats for her a couple of times now and I think the kitties are really starting to like me (I am the one that feeds them.) I thought they were cute so I took some pictures to show off.
Isn’t she sweet?
I couldn’t get a better shot because the cat never quits moving and only held still while eating.
I really like vising Steph’s cats and enjoy having two extra cats to pet. (Have I mentioned before that I will someday be a crazy cat lady?) Steph was kind enough to pick up some WI(yeah!) yarn as a thank you and I LOVE it.
The yarn was spun at Blackberry Ridge Woolen Mill, Inc. It is lace weight, 25% silk/75% wool in the color Mallard. The color is pretty much my favorite color and the photo is a touch blurry because it shows the true color best. I am not sure what to do with my 350yds but I welcome suggestions.

Yay! You blogged =) You are gonna have to make Lora feel guilty that you are the only one bloggin lately tho lol
Also – I love the color of the grey cat – I used to have a kitten that was that color. Kinda a bluey-grey almost ya know? What are their names?
Love the expression in the first shot. “Is there food in there?”
How about fingerless mitts and a matching cowl with the cool and groovy yarn?
Oh, I LOVE these! Thank you again!
Lisa, the big-eyed girl in the first picture is Djuna, and the grey one is Bonzo. She is sweet. He is evil.
Lisa – I really am going to try to post more. I have been knitting for a few minutes every day lately and will therefore maybe have some knitting to blog about.
Audrey – I was thinking cowl, I love mine from last year and wore it constantly.
Stpeh – I have adopted your kitties as sort of mine and I like visiting them.
Steph ~
Aww, Bonzo is evil? Isnt he the one that had a DRs/Dentist appt not long ago? Maybe thats his excuse? lol
And your floor is a prrrr-fect (sorry! couldnt help the pun lol), background on Djuna =) She does look like she wants her pic taken!
Sweet, evil, my kids love them both!
I like the idea of mitts and a cowl (if you’re into cowls, that is. I’m kind of not). A skinny lace scarf (lace ribbon from Knitty?) is another idea. You could even do socks, unless your feet are big and/or you don’t want to handwash them.
Lisa–Bonzo did have a tooth out, but he has no excuse; he has always been a hellcat.
Dee Anna–You need to come visit them more often. Djuna told me so.
For the record I do not think Bonzo is evil, he is just hmmm I have no good word, but not evil.
Steph – I can visit the cats when you entertain us all on your deck, right? I like margaritas and mojitos.
