On Sunday we had an excellent group trip to The Studio. I really enjoyed spending time with everyone. It was also fun to see some yarns I had heard about but never touched. I tried to come up with a project to buy yarn for before we left but didn’t. This left me wandering the store touching everything trying to decide what should come home with me. I think almost everything there was nice enough to take home.
I guess I was on a neutral color kick because I narrowed it down to two different yarns that were both kinda sand colored. One was Debbie Bliss Pure Silk (100% silk) the other Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere (100% cashmere.) The silk was shiny and very very pretty. The cashmere was so soft, beyond description soft. I carried them both around the store until everyone else was making purchases and getting ready to leave. I had no project in mind for either yarn and just couldn’t pick (I am extremely indecisive.) I ended up doing the only appropriate thing, I bought them both.
Shiny is on the left, Soft is on the right. They are good friends now. It would have been a terrible shame to have kept them apart. Now I am stuck finding something to do with 125m of silk and 400 yds of cashmere. I have an idea for the cashmere but nothing for the silk. Oh well, of all the problems and headaches in life I’ll take this one.
