Ok, for reasons of mental sanity I have not started anything new. I will share some I am sure much anticipated updates on current and refinished projects.
Hat of Doom(link to old post): I decided the best course of action was to remove the eighth wedge of this hat. I did have to rip out some knitting and regraft the seam, but it went well. I am actually happy with the finished hat (or that is what I keep telling myself because I didn’t have to reknit it.)
Red and Cream Blanket(link to pic): This is a Christmas gift for a 5 month old so it is currently on the back burner until my Thanksgiving deadline is met. I only have half of the last red stripe and one more cream stripe to go. The nature of this blanket of course means these are the biggest stripes around and in thickness.
Unwanted Cowl(link to old post): I am knitting this project the most right now. I have about 6″ completed and although the pattern calls for 12″ I think I will stop at 10″. We’ll see. I am fairly confidant that with this weekend and a 10 hr drive on Wednesday I will have more than enough time to finish this. The only concern is that I would like to wash and block the cowl before gifting it. Most things I knit come with some cat hair attached and it would be nice to block the lace a bit. Oh well, I may bring wool wash with me and secretly wash it in the sink.
Jo sweater: This is something I finished recently and have yet to talk about. I was hoping writing about it publicly would encourage me to take pictures and blog about it. Who knows.
Other assorted Christmas gifts need to be finished and I am taking an entire suitcase of knitting to Wisconsin with me. Last year I had way more knitting time than I anticipated and ran out of projects before the car trip home. Also, my grandma is a knitter and I want to show her at least 2 of the sweaters I have made. Hopefully I will soon have tons of pictures of finished things, or more likely some pictures of half finished things.
