Except as usual, the girls who get together at Teapouro ROCK. You know who you are. Sorry someone is out of town on business and has her head buried in TWILIGHT!
I went back to working on the Blanketa. I finished 2 more little squares over the last two days. Tonight I might try to squeeze in one more square, or finish the crocheted slippers. I’m pretty sure I will have to re-do the first one. It is just so much larger than the second one, mainly do to my learning curve. The second one looks so much better. And probably wouldn’t stretch to fit my foot like the first one does (albeit the sole doesn’t match up).
Since I am passionate about my TV, I will let you in on another one of my favorite shows. Kitchen Nightmares has to be one of the greatest shows that has ever happened in my television viewing history. If only for the fact that it makes me NEVER want to eat out again. I guess I don’t mind cooking every night and doing the dishes by hand EVERY night if it means I or members of my family won’t come down with life threatening food poisoning. Hubs got severe food poisoning from Applebee’s a few years back (I KNOW, Applebee’s, right? Grossest food ever.) and actually lost 5 pounds in the course of 12 hours. You guess where that 5 pounds came from. If you said both ends, you’d be right. Therefore we do not eat at Applebee’s anymore. If it was the last restaurant on earth and I had a horrible case of dishpan hands that looked like Joan River’s neck, I would still not eat there.
Speaking of food, I made my pizza crust today and had BBQ chicken pizza tonight. It was REALLY good. That’s all I’ll say about that. I had to make an emergency chocolate stop for Hubs on my way home from Teapouro and I’m actually doing better. I only had one chocolate raspberry square as opposed to the whole bag and I feel pretty satisfied. BTW, the chai latte at Teaporo is pretty good. It’s not really sweet at all, and it’s kinda nice to have the flavor of the tea come through the way it’s meant to. I think I need to go on a sugar strike so I can know what I’m really eating. I know I’d certainly feel better. I just heard Gordon Ramsey dry heave while typing this.
I love this man.
