This is how my brain is feeling right now. I really want to be able to update daily, but as you can see, my last post was early Saturday morning. Socially, things have been going awesome, so that’s why I’m spending less time on the computer. If you see a lot of posts from me, it’s because I’m either bored out of my gourd, or all my friends have dropped me. Primarily this is a knitting blog, and I haven’t been doing anything new knitting wise. This also explains why I’ve been writing less.
I have been furiously knitting on the massive blanketa and I think I will be done with another whole strip (5 large squares made up of 20 smaller squares) in a few days if my arms hold up. I’ve been having some nerve issues related to repetitive strain and it was kind of freaking me out. I could feel it all the way up to the sides of my neck. It’s not just the knitting that triggers it, although I suspect it’s the main culprit because I am always doing it. Sunday we took the kiddos to the Nelson Atkins art museum and instead of taking the stroller inside, I wore the baby carrier. 20 pounds hanging off of me in the front suspended by my shoulders for an hour and a half was probably a bit much. I used to walk everyday for 2.5 miles like that with baby V, but after I got sick this fall, I also caught a case of the LAZIES. The weather also turned colder, so it was harder to make myself walk outside every day.
Right now, it is cold here. I have my trusty space heater by my side. I will call him Faithful. I had to go grocery shopping this morning after I dropped kiddo #1 off at school. I normally wait until the afternoon to go shopping so she can pick out her favorite cereal, what she wants for lunch, etc. But today, I wanted to get in and out before the storm. (That is IF we are going to get any snow. I’m so suspect of these weather people…) Tonight, I’ve decided we’re having grilled cheese on sourdough and chicken soup with rice a la can. Not the most culinary advanced meal, but it sounded good. Well, holy crap. I just looked out the window and it IS snowing. We’ll see if it’s the 1-3 inches as predicted.
I have been checking our blog stats, and guess what gets the most traffic on our site? Vampire Baseball and Hang on Spider Monkey. Freaking Twilight reviews. If you google Vampire Baseball and Hang on Spider Monkey, we are about the 4th hits down respectively. WEIRD. Other than that, we’ve been averaging 30ish-50ish hits a day for all the regular content. I think that’s a pretty successful start for out little blog. Dee Anna, I think we’re doing well.
Sorry no pics this entry. My blanketa strip is exactly the same color scheme as the last one. They will be the outside edges. Still unsure how to fill in the middle two strips. I might have to draw it out tonight. Stay warm!
