An eclectic post for you all today, it is Labor Day and I got to take the day off which was great. The weather has been perfect here in KS. We grilled out yesterday at my parents house, so I got to eat grilled zucchini, red pepper, onion and squash. It was sooooo tasty. I love grilled veggies. I used the leftovers to make an incredibly delicious omelet-type thing this morning.
This is also the 100th post, so that is really all there is to say about that.
On the knitting front I am still knitting (slowly) the same sweater. It is hard to imagine that I started it in January (it may have been the last day in Dec?? It has been so long I can’t remember!) and I am only finished with the front and back. I have made some progress on the sleeves. I am knitting them both at the same time. I find that works best for me.
Another shot that shows the sleeve in action. I like it because the photo makes the sleeve look longer than it is.
I keep trying to take a close up pic of the texture of this stitch pattern but none seem to be exactly right. The best so far but the color is way off:
I am eager to start knitting something else. I have about 100 different ideas of what to make next, if this sweater ever ends. I am really really really trying not to start anything else until this sweater is done, but it is not easy. Hopefully it will be done before the end of the year.
